Why am I a Christian?

"Why are you a Christian?" Man, there are so many reasons to be wildly in love with Jesus Christ. So many. God is pure good. Not the kind of 'good' that us humans throw around all the time to describe the simpler things in life, but a complex and extensive goodness that only the Creator of the universe could withhold. That is the basis of why I am a Christian, but I know for most, that answer might be vague so I'm going to dive right into why I am completely, recklessly and fearlessly in love with a Man from Galilee.

God is steadfast. He doesn't change a bit- He can't.
His promises don't return void, and He promises to prosper us bless us.
He sang over me, before I could return the love song (a little Bethel Worship reference😀).
He is faithful when I am not.
He is kind when I am not.
He is patient when I am not.
He is ever present when I am not.
 He protects me.
He only fills my life with good things (Psalm 103:5).
When I am broken He is my healer.
When I am hurting, He is my comforter.
When I think that all hope is lost, He makes a way.
When I feel alone, He is my very best friend.
When I am ungrateful, He reminds me of all He has done.
When I stray away, He is always sure to take me back with loving arms.
When I was in darkness, He called me to the light.
When I thought that the world was the way, He showed me that I was born to be a citizen of Heaven instead.
When I felt that I had no power, He reminded me that I was created to "shake the gates of hell" (Pastor Justin reference!).
When I feel like I can't, He reminds me that Jesus is within me and I can- and do it well.
When I don't feel His presence, I still know He is there.
When I can't see a way to be made, He guides my steps.
When I feel unconfident, He instills all that He is in me.
When I can't find the words to pray, He knows what is on my heart. When I can't carry on, He carries me.
When I am tired, He is. my dwelling place and my rest.
He can do no wrong.
He loves me deeply.
He knows me well.

And the best part about this entire post is that you can have this too.

A relationship with Jesus:
turns darkness to light
 fear to faith
weak to strong
 old to new
unconfident to confidence
mourning to weeping
and calamity to peace.

All He asks for is our hearts and obedience. There is absolutely nothing in this world that is more important than having a relationship with God.

He is THE eternal hope, and He is so incredibly real. I 100% recommend you feel Him for yourself. He loves you.
