Jesus Christ Makes Me So Excited to Be Alive

It is in this very moment that I know that there are so many things in life to be excited for.
The presence of God is so overwhelming and so powerful and it just makes me so ecstatic to take on life with Him, knowing that I’ll never walk alone and that I never have to be sad or worried or anxious and that I can cast all my cares on Him. He promises to show me how to live lightly.

I’m so excited knowing that no matter what comes my way that I have an Anchor that I can hold on to and that the plans Jesus Christ has for my life are so big and far beyond what I can possibly dream of. He is equipping me and preparing me to take on those big God dreams.

Thinking about walking on college campus and acing tests and living an exciting life with Jesus Christ, walking in His Presence closely beside Him is something that I’m just so honored to do and I am so ecstatic about life. Life with Jesus Christ is the only life to be lived, there is no life outside of Him, there is no true excitement, no true Joy, no true peace, and no true love outside of Him.

There are puppies to pet, flowers to smell, small victories, big victories, worship songs to sing and the Presence of God to feel and I am so excited to be alive.

There is a man of God who wants to make me pancakes and waffles and sing worship songs loudly with me in the car and bring me flowers on occasion and really loves warm blankets. There are x-rays for me to look at in hospitals, lives to be touched, and to be healed all by Gods grace. There are children to be had and raised to love Jesus with their whole heart and to give unconditional love and much support to.

There is God’s creation to look at during a picnic and stars to be looked at, at night on a blanket. There is the Word of God to be taught and life touching stories to be told.

I guess what I’m trying to say is this, falling in love with Jesus is the best decision I’ve ever made and I’m not turning back. This is the life that I am so blessed and honored to live and I intend to make every moment worth it  so that I can hear “well done my good and faithful servant”.
I just think that that’s one of the coolest things that I get to walk side by side with God on this Earth and live my best life. When that’s all over, I get to spend eternity the One who made me, in complete Joy.
What's even cooler? This life and walk with Christ, who is Life Himself, is available to absolutely anyone who wants it.

Next month I start College!! This is a really exciting time for me, especially since I've seen God's Sovereign Hand in legitimately every step of the process. One thing to know about me is that I am all about comfort. Give me linen, easy-flowing, and relaxing fabrics, and I am set! Further, you can imagine that I would want nothing short for long study nights and plenty of walking on campus!

Don't get me wrong! I am for leggings and oversized tees, but for the days that I don't want to showcase my thrifted tees and tights, I reach for the outfits like I am posting today!

I went to Madewell the other day, and per usual went immediately to the clearance rack (all my ladies ballin' on a budget, hands up!). I found three things that I liked a great deal, and today I'll tell you about the star of the show- the 'Texture & Thread Side-Tie Jumpsuit'.

Madewell is awesome when it comes to not sacrificing incredible looks for comfort- they can do it all. Madewell is truly ideal for the girl who wants to keep it cute + comfy at the airport, or wants a sweet jumpsuit for an exam study session all-nighter. That being said, while relation to both of the aforementioned scenarios, I found this jumper quite appealing!

SHOP THE LINK HERE- The black is sold out online, but I think the ivory is just as winsome.

The jumpsuit is especially flowy and provides plenty of room. It is nearly unmatched in comfort, and the texture is fantastic!

Overall, this is surely ideal for early morning drives to 8 AM lectures, and I am a fan of that!

Pray. Hustle. Repeat: Neutrogena Acne Proofing Review

@Rebeccaswhitecoat on Instagram

Somewhere between praying, hustling and repeating, I can find myself prone to breakouts! That’s where @neutrogena comes in! The Neutrogena acne proofing, line is an absolute favorite of mine because of the salicylic acid, making my breakouts resolve in only a couple of days! #acneproofing #skincare

I am a skin care gal. If you have even skimmed tis blog before, I'm sure that it is pretty evident! In the last couple of months, it has been such a blessing working with Neutrogena. From the HydroBoost Collection to this Acne Proofing collection, it has been such a pleasure collaborating with them, and I hope to work with them in the future! So without further ado,  I want to share my thoughts on the daily scrub and gel cleanser!

TEXTURE/CONSISTENCY:
Scrub: The scrub has a texture that sets it apart from other scrubs. If you have ever tried St.Ives scrubs, you know that it is pretty grainy and the beads are extremely evident. The Acne Proofing daily scrub has more of a gel consistency, and you don't feel the micro beads as much as in other scrubs, meaning that it is less abrasive to the epidermis. That can also clue that the exfoliation comes more from the chemical makeup than the physicalities of the product. 10/10

Cleanser:  I have a strong liking for any cleanser with a nice lather. This cleanser comes to a nice lather and leaves my skin without that super squeaky clean that irritates me a little. My skin feels clean and refreshed, but not stripped of all oils and moisture.

FRRAGRANCE:
This collection is really cool concerning the citrus like smell. What sets it apart is that this collection smells like citrus, but not a cheap kind of smell. It smells like something that your facialist would apply, and you would know that results are fast on their way. I would say it kind of smells expensive- like high end skin care.

RESULTS:
At the time I started testing this product out, I was going through a pretty bad breakout on the sides of my cheeks. After using the scrub and cleanser, I noticed that my breakout was quick in disappearing.  Further, the "acne proofing" came in, because I haven't had any breakouts flare up since!

If you are looking for an affordable, yet high end cure for breakouts/breakout prevention, this line is ideal for you!

Best and God bless,

Time With God

This life is busy. Somewhere in the midst of the hustle and bustle, I think that we lose sight of what is truly important. Sometimes we wonder why we are so drained and bored with life, and I truly believe that it is because we have misplaced our priorities.
We can only be fully charged, under the Grace of God.
Want to learn how to charge up and live your best life? It starts in your time with God.
Jesus sought to speak with God every day, and He was. Jesus. How much more do we need Him?

First Impression Friday: Neutrogena Hydroboost Sunscreen Review #EveryDayisaSUNday

Sunscreen is an absolute must have in all seasons, but we know that the summer is when most people take sunscreen application more seriously. This summer, I will be upping my game by applying the Neutrogena Hydroboost Sunscreen! Neutrogena has been so kind to send me the SPF 30 and SPF 50 sunscreens. So here is my review!

Stop Beating Yourself Up.

We mess up. We sin. That's just how it is. The thing to remember is, God is not surprised when we fall short of His Glory- who better to know that than our very own creator? Here's where we fall off: As humans, we get it mixed up in our heads and create our own standards of good and bad, leading us astray from God. Why? Because in our own minds, we think that He can't forgive us based on how severe we deem the sin. However, in the sight of God, sin is sin- all one and the same. So, we might tell a white lie in our day to day life and leave that unrepented, thinking nothing of it, and then another day fall into sexual sin or hurt someone.

Although they are the exact same thing in the eyes of God, we go and put ourselves in this penalty box for however long we think is necessary, before we ask God for forgiveness and move on.

We didn't feel that way about the little white lie- but felt that way about the 'bigger' sins. I think what needs to happen, is that we open our eyes to see that His Grace is sufficient. Grace is key here.

Once you are saved, Jesus is your great attorney and He is up there fighting for you! No matter the sin, it can and will be forgiven.

Don't try and measure which ones deserve the penalty box and which ones you never apologize for. The Heart of Jesus Christ is for His creation to seek Him and quickly. As soon as you come the realization that you've slipped up, ask Him for forgiveness.

God does not want you to beat yourself up every time that you fall short, because frankly, you would be beating yourself up every single day of your life.

We're not perfect, and the Glory of God is shown in our imperfections. Repent, move on in your walk with Him. There's nothing more that the enemy loves, than for you to waste time punishing yourself and hating yourself for messing up- His Grace is and always will be sufficient: for your mess ups, slip ups and mistakes.

Change. Learn something from your mess ups, but don't give up.

We think that God no longer finds favor with us because we sin. That's not biblical.

Look at David. Labeled as a 'Man after God's Own Heart", but legitimately slept with a mans wife, impregnated her, and then to cover it all up, killed the wife's husband in the front line of battle. David suffered the consequences, but it did not make Him any less of a man of God.

Abraham. Known as the most faithful man, but he wasn't perfect either. God gave him a promise that he and his wife, even in their old age would have a child. But Abraham ended up sleeping with the servant girl to bring forth his son in his own way. Later on, he still got the son that he and his wife were supposed to have,  but there was much strife between the two families which created the conflict that we now have between the Israelites and the Arabs.

Let your relationship with God be strengthened by your comeback. His Grace and Mercy will never fail to make you fall in love with Him all over again.

God is not looking for perfection. He is looking for a heart that is completely after Him. Grace is not a go and sin card, but definitely good news to hold onto for the many times that we will stumble.

If we were perfect, Jesus's sacrifice would be useless. Since we are imperfect beings, we can rejoice in the fact that Jesus is our attorney and that He is not seeking to be harsh and condemn us, but rather to be that still, quiet voice that leads us in the right direction when we go astray, like the Good Shepherd He is.

When we ask for forgiveness, God chooses to send our sin as far as the east is from the west, and remember them no more (Psalm 103:12) (Hebrews 8:12)
The fact that God- a Perfect Being, doesn't condemn us or beat us up when we sin, is a sure sign that we shouldn't either. Stop listening to the enemies lies, and listen to the loving + patient voice of God.

So let's stop beating ourselves up and fall into His grace.

God bless,

Top 3 Christian Apps for a Spiritually Enriched Summer

If you know me, you know that I love anything for and about Jesus. Mugs, notebooks, devotionals- you name it. If it glorifies Him, I'm all over it. Recently, I have come across some apps that I'm really enjoying! Technology can be used for good or bad, and God has been working with me recently to spend time on my technology doing things that make my soul smile, and make Him smile. I realized that I was slowly losing my zeal for God, and I realized that my phone was a big part of that. So, I talked to God about it- and the fire is back!

He's so gracious, and He promises to never turn away anyone who seeks Him.

John 6:37 "All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out."
That being said, I just wanted to share two of my new favorite apps, and one classic!
