"The Pace of Grace" Sermon Notes

If you've seen him on Twitter lately, you know the charismatic + passionate preacher- Mike Todd of Transformation Church. For all of the effort that he puts into his sermons, a few clips of the services went viral on Twitter. This lead me to watch the full length of some of his sermons, and the one that I am telling you all about today, really spoke to me.

Here's the backstory:

I'm a pretty impatient person. I'm a go-getter, and sometimes I let that get the best of me. "The Pace of Grace", was (I'm sure) written for people like me. We have trouble sometimes waiting on God, because we get so caught up in the natural, and forget that our God operates outside of time, and that His timing is no where close to ours. This sermon explores the ins and outs of why finding the pace of Grace in Christ is so vital, and that we will ALWAYS be sure to live our best lives, if we solely trust God and His timing for our lives.

So, without further ado- here are my notes! I hope that you find them helpful. (Especially you, my impatient sisters in Christ 😂, God is working on us)
- The right thing in the wrong season is a curse: God will work on your character and make you ready

-Patience is SO vital

- Don't strive on your own. Stride toward God, and everything will fall into place

-Time is not wasted- it's not too late: God factored in time for your "mess ups"

-Faster does not equal more fruitful

-Don't miss your miracles along the way

-provision=where God is. problems=where we are. (Psalm 37:23- He directs our steps)

-Your promised land is accessible with obedience: there is a pace to your promised land

-Comfort and growth DON'T go together

-Trust God even when you see closed doors: He has already given it to us ("But the Lord said..." Joshua 6:1-2)

-Remember the Promise

-Focusing on the promise gives you faith to overcome obstacles

-Let God set the pace
    -Don't set your own pace
    -Don't strive
    -Consult God

-The story must give Him Glory
-If it happens in the natural, we give ourselves glory, but the Supernatural= God's glory
-"If you planned it, you would take credit"

-Don't focus on anyones pace- focus on God's ordained pace for you

-You can be sure that God's promises will through

-God wants to take you from Grace to Grace

-God will give you the grace to do what you have to do

-Don't focus on the natural, focus on the Supernatural

-KNOW what your Heavenly Father says about you

-Partial obedience is disobedience

-Be sure to have the Presence of God when you go. You can be sure that you're going at the right pace.
-The Israelites walked slow enough that the Presence of God
(Ark of the Covenant) was on their backs (Joshua 6:11)
   - If you don't have time for prayer, worship or reading the Bible- you're too busy, and going too fast.

-Just because it doesn't make sense, does not mean that God won't make it work and get His Glory.

-God does not care about hierarchies or credentials
   -He will qualify the called

-Where you are and where you are going are not synonymous.
-If you are faithful with few,  God will bless you with many.

-"What the enemy wants you to work for, God will give to you if you find the pace of Grace"

-Don't get caught up in where you are now, because the walls will come down if you obey and follow the pace of grace.

-You can't help God's plan come to pass

- When you stop striving, God has the whole thing figured out.

-Obedience is better than sacrifice (1 Samuel 15:22)

-God is the Author and Finisher of our Faith
   - He won't start anything that He won't finish

bless,
