Things to Invest in for Preppy Style

Hi there! Today I'm doing a blog post on 5 things to invest in for preppy style.

//Bean Boots//
These are a definite staple for me during the fall/winter. I just got a pair- there is a cute story for this one. I wanted a pair of Bean Boots and I showed a picture to my madre, she then exclaimed " Honey! You want a pair of those? I have a pair that I never got to wear!" I then replied with the jitters, "NO WAY! Let me see!" We then went to the garage and she pulled them out of a box, and you better believe it- I lost it! They were my size and everything! SO, so happy for that find. God is good! So I now get socks for them from J.Crew, that come up a little bit past the boot, you'll see how I style these babies in my fall lookbook scheduled next month.

//Simply Southern or Southern Proper Tees//
I absolutely, la la love these! Especially the longsleeves! They are so comfy and have great quality.
//Jack Rogers//
I refuse to accept it is no longer JR season- but I still would like to list theses! Here is a link to my favorite preppy shoes Jack Rogers. These match EVERYTHING. I wear them all the time. Whether it's Church, school or even just shopping these are my go-to's.
// Riding Boots//
These aren't neccisarily "preppy" , but if you pair them with the right thing, they most definitely prep up any outfit. This will be in my lookbook too (:
//Gingham or a Linen shirt//
This is a bare neccesity of preppy mother natures recipies! These work year round. You can unbutton them in the summer or layer up and throw on a puffer vest. Add in a pearl necklace or statement necklace, and voila- ASAP fab.

Staying Positive

Hi there loves! I'm back again. I just wanted to share my tips on staying positve ( A Christian Girl's Guide). So, read up and here we go!

//Realize God's Purpose for You//
You can't fulfil God's purpose for your life if your busy being a Negative Nancy!

//Understand God Loves You//
Once you have even the slightest bit of understanding of God's love you, you can always be delighted in him. God's love is deeper than an ocean and wider than the sea. He sent his Son to die for you and me!

//Always try to see the good in things//
Don't feel like going to class? Speak positivity over your day, and lift up your head and say " This is the day the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it! This always keeps me in a good mood. Also, a quick tip if you ever need something and you can't get it- let it into your prayer life! The worse that could happen is God saying no- and if he does, it means it wasn't for you and it could have possibly harmed you. Keep in mind Phillipians 4:19 " And my God will supply all my needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus." This is my assurance!

//Get involved in a youth group!//
Be around positive youth that will keep you strong in the faith! Support one another. God put his children here to be in favor with one another. Make some quality Chirsitan friends!

That's all guys, stay happy!

My Day

Hi there! So today I'm doing a small late night post/review. Today our Cross Country team went over to the store Run For Your Life! I picked up a new pair of sneakers and I got the coolest water bottle! It's called the Fire and Ice water bottle by Nathan. The reason I'm so in love with this is because it's a sassy silver in the day and a radiant beam of fab at night! So cool.

Water bottle
I also picked up some KTTape. This tape works wonders! I had runners knee today, because we had time trials at the park, and I got the beautiful gift of runners knee! I went with my XC team to the shop and picked this tape up because, I heard plenty of people sing it's praises! I am singing this tune as well, my friends. I applied the adhesive to my knee- and voila, healed after 5 minutes, I lie to you not. Definitely repurchasing.

How I Do My Daily Devotionals

Hi there guys! So today I wanted to talk to you guys about how I do my daily devotions. This is a good way to spend qauality time with Jesus. Alright, I'm going to let you in on a little shameful confession- it's usually very, very hard for me to do devotions every, single day, and it's also quite a conundrum to wake up in time. I know , I know, "Shame on you, Rebecca!" It  just gets hard sometimes. However, in order to get up the majority of the time, I use this nugget of spiritual information, given to me by my pastor. Once in a sermon he said, " In order for me to do my devotions, and keep Satan away from me throughout the day, I have to let my spirit man wake up before my fleshly man. If I let my grumpy fleshly man wake up first, I will never get my time with God started! However, when I let my spirit man wake up first- I can pray up and get my time with Jesus started and conquer the day." I love this so much. It really helps me realize that I should always let the Jesus in me wakeup first, so I can keep Satan behind me and Carpe Diem (Latin for seize the day). That was my spirit food to give to you today. So, without further ado, here is my devotional routine.

I would say I wake up between 5:30 - 6:00 in the morning everyday, even in the summer ( Cross Country practice) and I will usually go straight to my Bible and pray that God would show me what he wants me to read for the day, and open up a page in my Bible, I will then read the passage and start to read my devotion book "Daily Devotionals For the God Girl", and really ponder what is being read, afterwards I will pray and thank God for waking me up, ask for forgiveness and ask God to bless my day. I will then start my day!

Thanks for reading, and I hope you have a great night!
