What does it mean to be blessed? In my opinion being blessed is not only a state of mind, but also, seemingly "circumstantial". Circumstances correlating to being blessed is not a new system update. In the world, people often measure how blessed they are by measuring how many things a person has in possession and what they possibly could possess in the future.
We see #blessed, teamed up with a picture of a Louis Vouitton tote. However, that is not the only way for people to be blessed. For me, recently, just waking up makes me feel blessed. Wasn't always that way, but God moves and brings things to surface. The little things in life make me feel incredibly blessed. I was running errands last week with my dad and made a quick trip to whole foods where I picked up flowers, boxed water and some kale chips.
Little things like that are like presents from God to me. That's the material aspect. Going back to my first statement about waking up and feeling blessed also ties into other aspects in my life. One day my pastor was preaching on how a man said "Look at your hands, all ten fingers are there. For that, my friend- you are blessed." I am 10/10 on board with that statement. Even sitting here typing, and feeling my fingers hit each key is something I wouldn't trade for the world.

The spiritual aspect for me in being blessed is being saved. The fact that the God of this entire universe, the creator of every star, planet, tree and bird; the one who created emotion and feelings decided that he was going to make me, baffles me in the best way possible. To top all of that off- as if it wasn't enough, God sent his son to die the most intense death for me? That.Is.Blessed.

If you think about it long enough, it will completely blow your mind. We're born into this world, destined for a purpose- even if it's not visible at the time. If a baby is born every minute, in equivalency a destiny is born every minute. It also amazes me every person has an encounter with God at some point in their life. God is fair and will reveal himself to you. The opportunity to accept him is always there. An encounter with God can be as little as looking at nature. There has to be a creator of that tree. Look at the birds, Matthew 6:26 says "Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they?"  God ministers to us through everything.

Overall, the objective is to let you know that we are always and intensely blessed, despite the circumstances. That is something to hold onto forever.

10 MAKEUP HACKS (that I actually use)

I see so many seemingly "makeup hacks" on pinterest and they look fantastic. However, some of these work for some people, and others are less fortunate in that aspect. I'm one of those people. However, there are a few simple tips and tricks I've picked up along the way and I would be honored to share them with you to make you feel like an actual bo$$. (Do I hate myself for saying that? Possibly.)

1// Coconut Oil- Coconut oil is a (Dj Khaled voice) major key for me. I used to have relatively short eyelashes and coconut oil is very helpful for that. Also, I use it as a quick makeup remover for brushes when I go to pick up more product.

2// Olive Oil- Another essential oil for me is olive oil. Olive oil is the best moisturizer ever and it's super convenient because you most likely have it in your pantry! The reason that olive oil is the best moisturizer is because it's great for all skin types. Let's get a little Bill Nye-ish here. The Olive oil's molecular complex is the closest molecule makeup to your skin oils. Therefore, using it does not clog your pores.

3// Using a Blow Dryer on an Eyelash curler- At first sight, I thought this was one of those phony hacks that turn out to be bologna. I was wrong. Heating up your lash curler before using it is a massive help to your lashes. Be careful though!

4// Vaseline- Whenever I do my makeup, lippies come last. While I do my foundation and eye makeup, putting on a chap stick or vaseline is mega helpful for prepping my lips before product.

5// Using all foundation- Whenever I am running low on a foundation that came in a plastic container, I cut the top off and scoop out the rest!

6// Translucent Powder for Lips- Whenever I want my lipstick to last all day, I take a tissue over my lips and tap them with translucent powder!

7// Reviving Mascara- Whenever you face foundation turns dry, just add eye drops to revive it!

8// Toilet Seat Covers- Whenever I'm in public and I'm getting a tad oily, I just use one of the toilet safety covers as an oil blotting sheet! Works like a charm.

9// Using liquid highlight on the lips- Whenever I want to add a little pop to my lips I mix my glass with high light- great glow!

10// Highlighter above brows- Often times we use highlight under our brows. SKRRT, STOP, WAIT. Girl don't. Putting the highlight above accentuates the brow arch!

Those are my top ten "hacks". I hope they help!
