We can only be fully charged, under the Grace of God.Want to learn how to charge up and live your best life? It starts in your time with God.
Jesus sought to speak with God every day, and He was. Jesus. How much more do we need Him?
Fun fact: The enemy knows the power of your time with God, so he will do anything- anything to hinder it.
Do you ever find that when you've made a promise to seek God at night, that suddenly everything on your phone is more interesting? Or that as soon as you're about to go for a run, and take care of your temple, that something pops up? Yeah. Those are the places in our lives where we have the option to die to our flesh, tell satan "not today!"
The enemy knows you have two massive weapons: prayer and worship.
Here's why he's scared.
PRAYER:
- Shuts down the enemies lies
- Prevents bad decisions
- Pleases Jesus
- Prevents distraction
- Opens doors of opportunity
- Strengthens our spirit
- Reminds us of Who God Is
- Reminds out of who we are through Christ
- Sets your mind on things above
- Gateway to Mercy (Let us then approach God's throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. Hebrews 4:16)
- Brings you into fellowship with God
- Brings healing (should it be God's will- His will is perfect anyhow)
- and so much more!
WORSHIP:
- Invites the Presence of God (2 Chronicles 5:11-14)
- Brings Victory (2 Chronicles 20:15-20)
- Brings deliverance from enemies ( Psalm 18:3)
- Satisfies the soul ( Psalm 63:1-5)
- Repels depression ( Isaiah 61:3)
- Brings Liberty ( Acts 16:25-26)
- Brings Joy ( Psalm 100:4)
- Draws men unto God ( John 12:32)
- Strengthens our faith (Romans 4:20)
- Brings us closer to God (James 4:8)
So, since you have the power to defeat him by using those two weapons, why wouldn't he try to stop you?
This is where we take initiative. When we follow Christ, there is a change inside of us that yearns to seek God. It shouldn't feel burdensome. When I first stepped out of lukewarm Christianity, spending time with God was not something that I despised or did not want to do, but it was definitely a struggle. Time with God is a discipline, and with God's help, you will fall in love with the time you spend with Him.
How do we spend time with God?Everyone has a different routine with God. Personally: Mine goes something like this.
- Wake up, say good morning to Jesus
- Have a Worship dance party in my room to wake me up
- Pray: I try my best to use ACTS (Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving and Supplication)
- Read my Bible
As Christians, we are Spirit led. Do whatever God leads you to do! Everyone does not have the same walk.
Your time with God does not cease in your prayer closet. In fact, it has just begun! In your walk with God, it is so vital to have this awareness of God in your day to day life. Does He make your decisions? Do you seek to please Him? Do your actions reflect Him? All of these are things that, the further you get in your Walk with God, the more easy these things become. Why? His Heart becomes your heart.
When you work out? Talk to God from your heart! Lift up a prayer when you run!
When you cook? Talk to God!
Following your skin care routine? Tell God about your upcoming day, or how your day has been
When you're at school or out and about, minister to people! Make them feel known and loved- make them feel the way that God wants them to feel.
Overall, here's the plan. Seek God frequently, and make Him the center of your life.I hope that you enjoyed reading this, and that it helped you! If you have any questions about God, your walk etc, I would be more than honored to answer it. Just use the contact box to the left side of my page!
God bless,
