how to use your beauty blender like a pro

*Cha-Ching*. You just walked into Sephora and spent $20- not even to mention tax, on a sponge; A SPONGE. Don't worry, you're not crazy, we are all in the same boat here. Most likely at this point, you've gotten home, unpacked the Sephora bag and wondered, "$20 dollars on a sponge?". Yes! Okay, you did it! No need to cry and quiver over a purchase that's already been done. So let's move on from this okay? Since we made this decision, we should wonder how we can get the most out of this purchase. Well, that's where I come in. I'm gonna let you in on the tips + tricks to the one and only, Beauty Blender. Let's get this going.

Technique:
Please, please, please don't make the rookie mistake I did and first and rub in your product  with the beauty blender. Why? You'll waste so much product. The sponge absorbs the product, and if you rub it in, wel.... Plus, If you're anything like me; you don't want to waste drugstore foundation, further more you Makeup Forever HD. Stipple the foundation, don't rub. *Que Cody, from the Suite Life of Zack and Cody* "Dab, don't rub". This will also give you a lighter feel on your face and you'll get an airbrush finish.

Makeup Eraser?
I know when doing wings/cat eyes, it can be super tedious. If you have a slip up, call Beauty Blender on Isle 3 for cleanup. Take the tip of your dry Beauty Blender and wipe away the mishap, without the mess of a makeup wipe or remover. Holy Grail tip.

Know Your Zones:
When using the sponge, it can be very tempting to use the whole blender on every spot. Stop! Know your zones, ladies. The tip of your blender is great for the smaller areas: nose, eyes, lips etc. The body works best when it's damp and is great for cheeks and the forehead. The base can be used all over the larger areas and is fantastic for blending into the neck- great for the summer. Quick Tip: For all my self tanners who are reading, a good thing to remember is that when you self tan, blending your foundation on your ear lobes makes a significant difference.

Skincare:
Often times, when applying sunscreen, serums and moisturizers to the face we can miss a spot, or two, three...Anyway, using the Beauty Blender ensures you don't miss any spots and is good for buffing the product in the skin, give it a go!

I hope you find these tips helpful and learned a trick or two.
Thanks for reading,
rebecca.
