Love, love, love- this week's favorites

Happy Sunday! I hope you've all had a fantastic,  productive and happy week. There are a few things I've really been enjoying recently and I want to share them with you!
Old Navy Tunic// I bought this black + white striped tunic from Old Navy and it is amazing. It's super soft, has a J. Crew feel, there's two cute ways to style it (that I know of) and to top it all off it was only $8. STEAL!!!

Blogging Day Mug// *Sips tea* I've been so obsessed with this mug. I found it at Francesca's for around $12- trust me it was worth it! It's dishwasher safe- and trust me, that sounds like it's not a big deal, but it makes all the difference when it comes down to putting it in the dishwasher or hand washing it... I'll take the dishwasher. A little story about this mug: I went into Old Navy and placed the Francesca's bag in the fitting room, checked out my items and left. *GASP* I know, I know. I was walking and thinking about what I bought that day and I only had one bag. *Cue the wide eye opening*. I started sprinting through the mall- no jokes here, and I bet I looked like a shoplifter. Oh well, it was for the sake of a cute hand- crafted mug. I entered the store once more and was then relieved to find out the manager took the bag to the front. Mug retrieved, mission accomplished.

Old Navy Satchel// I actually bought this bag in Asheville, but only recently became an inamorata of it. It makes any outfit look put together and the only thing I didn't like about it was how much it slips off your shoulder. Guess I'll use it as a crossbody?

Deep Down Detox Mask// I don't have bad skin, I have a little acne scarring around my chin and cheek area, but nothing to really seek treatment about, as they can easily be covered by foundation. However, my nose collects oil so rapidly and sometimes pore strips are a little too much. This mask is amazing for cleansing your pores and brightening skin. 10/10 would recommend.

I hope you all enjoyed this post. Thanks for reading!

why the l.a girl pro concealer is worth the hype

If you've recently seen practically any beauty related YouTube videos, you have heard of the L.A Girl PRO Concealer. I usually don't hop on to YouTube trends very quickly. I'm not the "YouTube Made Me Buy It" type of girl. Mainly, because of the expense and there isn't too much room to bandwagon every time you see a somewhat "miracle product". However, when I heard this concealer was $2.99, I was all in readiness to try, because the math most definitely added up. Bomb product + bomb price = Rebecca heading to the store. I stopped at the local beauty store where I get my extensions and was rather pleased that I found it there. Wait, it gets better. Please note: Whenever I but my extensions, I get points (;. So, I go into the line and pull out the coinz, and the cashier says "No no, you're good! You have points you can use!" So at this point I'm internally hollering, because that $3 would be of astonishing use for some Chick-Fil-A waffle fries. So I get my "free" concealer, go home, try it and that's where we are now.

The first thing about this product that I fell in love with, was the packaging. It's a squeezy tube with bristles and that makes it super easy to apply and creates over all easy reach for the product without the hassle. I also love the texture of this concealer. It's not too heavy, and feels very light, although it's a very rich, creamy type of product. The third thing I love about this, is that it's the perfect dupe for the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer. I spent $37 on that, unknowingly that a $2 concealer could do the same job. *Tsk, tsk*. I also love how blendable it is. The concealer buffs into skin perfectly with the right amount of exerted pressure. (Clearly, I'm the Bill Nye the Science Guy of makeup. 😂) I'm a very big fan of the variety of colors in this product. I'm almost sure everyone can find their shade in this. This brings me to how much I love it for highlighting. I apply it on the bridge of my nose, give my eyebrows shape with it and apply to my under eyes. And the last, but certainly not least thing I love about this concealer is the what? Price, ladies. $2 and tax for all the above stated things that little tube can do? I'm really relying on you to get some!

how to use your beauty blender like a pro

*Cha-Ching*. You just walked into Sephora and spent $20- not even to mention tax, on a sponge; A SPONGE. Don't worry, you're not crazy, we are all in the same boat here. Most likely at this point, you've gotten home, unpacked the Sephora bag and wondered, "$20 dollars on a sponge?". Yes! Okay, you did it! No need to cry and quiver over a purchase that's already been done. So let's move on from this okay? Since we made this decision, we should wonder how we can get the most out of this purchase. Well, that's where I come in. I'm gonna let you in on the tips + tricks to the one and only, Beauty Blender. Let's get this going.

Technique:
Please, please, please don't make the rookie mistake I did and first and rub in your product  with the beauty blender. Why? You'll waste so much product. The sponge absorbs the product, and if you rub it in, wel.... Plus, If you're anything like me; you don't want to waste drugstore foundation, further more you Makeup Forever HD. Stipple the foundation, don't rub. *Que Cody, from the Suite Life of Zack and Cody* "Dab, don't rub". This will also give you a lighter feel on your face and you'll get an airbrush finish.

Makeup Eraser?
I know when doing wings/cat eyes, it can be super tedious. If you have a slip up, call Beauty Blender on Isle 3 for cleanup. Take the tip of your dry Beauty Blender and wipe away the mishap, without the mess of a makeup wipe or remover. Holy Grail tip.

Know Your Zones:
When using the sponge, it can be very tempting to use the whole blender on every spot. Stop! Know your zones, ladies. The tip of your blender is great for the smaller areas: nose, eyes, lips etc. The body works best when it's damp and is great for cheeks and the forehead. The base can be used all over the larger areas and is fantastic for blending into the neck- great for the summer. Quick Tip: For all my self tanners who are reading, a good thing to remember is that when you self tan, blending your foundation on your ear lobes makes a significant difference.

Skincare:
Often times, when applying sunscreen, serums and moisturizers to the face we can miss a spot, or two, three...Anyway, using the Beauty Blender ensures you don't miss any spots and is good for buffing the product in the skin, give it a go!

I hope you find these tips helpful and learned a trick or two.

Would You Ever? Teeth Reshaping

Ok, I know this title sounds super creepy/ semi - weird but I was thinking about this topic. If you've seen any of the recent Bachelor seasons- a season or two ago we met the glam queen/ drama queen, love her or hate her, Ashley Iaconetti. From every angle, this girl is stunning and not to mention her pearlies. ( I'm really hoping I don't sound like I have some orthodontic fetish) but anyway, like the aforesaid, Ashley's teeth are 10/10 goals. Here is a picture for inarguable evidence.
I don't want to sound like I'm hating or I'm a bitter little girl who wishes to bask in the glory of Iaconetti- BUT, I find it a tad hard to believe she was born with teeth like this! Forgive me if I'm wrong, though. This now brings me to the topic of teeth reshaping.

Now, for me, my teeth story doesn't have too much substance to it, but it sure isn't Aquafina. I have generally straight teeth but I had a spacing issue- ("had" in the context I know have Invisalign, but that's another story on it's own). I had the little taunts when I was younger, my all time favorite pick, *clears throat* "Gap Tooth Becky".

So, I want to address how I feel about this entire issue. I WOULD LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to get my teeth reshaped. They're relatively "square"; but have we reached Iaconetti, Kendall and Kylie Jenner square? No- but I'll stay in pursuit of the "perfect" shape. I'm not quite sure how long I want to wait however. I might save it as a graduation present (from college?) Who knows?

My closing statement here would definitely be to do you. If you want to get your teeth done, always remember it's your money, your business; and I hope you apply this to whatever you do. Because, if there is something I have learned in my mere 15 years of living is that, somewhere, somehow, someone is going to say something about your whereabouts and what you do. Thus being said, as long as you're not hurting anyone- do you and don't care about what anyone else has to say about it.

Love You Lots,
rebecca.

Lush's Ultrabland Face Cleanser was Ironically my Brow's Savior

*SWOON*

March 1st, Damsel in Distress brows (not the legitimate damsel, because I bet her's were 10x better- but a situational distressed brow).
NOW, I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT HAPPENED HERE, but quite frankly, I'm not sure I want to know either.

{Insert sigh of relief}. This, THIS, is the brow. After using Ultra bland for around 1 week, my brows started soaking up some magic. This brow is not filled in whatsoever. My routine is just simply applying the cleanser all over. On the eyelashes, brows, under eyes, you name it. It's completely safe and 100% natural. No burn, no itch and certainly no lie here. At this point of results I started to question why my brows were making such a vicious comeback, playing no games, arriving with a vengeance. Well, not too much to my surprise the ingredient list did some explaining that was well necessary. This cleanser has Almond Oil, Beeswax, Honey, Rose and Glycerine. Ah, so almond oil huh? I'm personally guessing this is the hero of the bunch because Almond oil, Castor oil and even Olive oil can do some miracles when you put them to work. Not only has this cleanser fixed my brows but my skin has never been softer and has long lasting moisture without the extremely oily finish- dewy glow?
Bottom line- Getchu some.
