My Day

Hi there! So today I'm doing a small late night post/review. Today our Cross Country team went over to the store Run For Your Life! I picked up a new pair of sneakers and I got the coolest water bottle! It's called the Fire and Ice water bottle by Nathan. The reason I'm so in love with this is because it's a sassy silver in the day and a radiant beam of fab at night! So cool.

I also picked up some KTTape. This tape works wonders! I had runners knee today, because we had time trials at the park, and I got the beautiful gift of runners knee! I went with my XC team to the shop and picked this tape up because, I heard plenty of people sing it's praises! I am singing this tune as well, my friends. I applied the adhesive to my knee- and voila, healed after 5 minutes, I lie to you not. Definitely repurchasing.

How I Do My Daily Devotionals

Hi there guys! So today I wanted to talk to you guys about how I do my daily devotions. This is a good way to spend qauality time with Jesus. Alright, I'm going to let you in on a little shameful confession- it's usually very, very hard for me to do devotions every, single day, and it's also quite a conundrum to wake up in time. I know , I know, "Shame on you, Rebecca!" It  just gets hard sometimes. However, in order to get up the majority of the time, I use this nugget of spiritual information, given to me by my pastor. Once in a sermon he said, " In order for me to do my devotions, and keep Satan away from me throughout the day, I have to let my spirit man wake up before my fleshly man. If I let my grumpy fleshly man wake up first, I will never get my time with God started! However, when I let my spirit man wake up first- I can pray up and get my time with Jesus started and conquer the day." I love this so much. It really helps me realize that I should always let the Jesus in me wakeup first, so I can keep Satan behind me and Carpe Diem (Latin for seize the day). That was my spirit food to give to you today. So, without further ado, here is my devotional routine.

I would say I wake up between 5:30 - 6:00 in the morning everyday, even in the summer ( Cross Country practice) and I will usually go straight to my Bible and pray that God would show me what he wants me to read for the day, and open up a page in my Bible, I will then read the passage and start to read my devotion book "Daily Devotionals For the God Girl", and really ponder what is being read, afterwards I will pray and thank God for waking me up, ask for forgiveness and ask God to bless my day. I will then start my day!

Thanks for reading, and I hope you have a great night!

Prep For Less!

Hey there lovelies! So the second part of my back to school series is, how to prep for less! As we all know, dressing preppy is kinda pricey; so, I have a solution. Now, our own selves are very aware of the fact that, J. Crew is classy, Lilly Pulitzer is glitzy and Vera Bradley is fancy. However, are these timeless brands cheap? No way honey! I have found substitutes for most of the preppy brands, but not any Lilly Pulitzer alternatives. Are there any out there you might ask- maybe, but we never know. I personally doubt it. So to the drawing board (better create a plan to snag some cash and get a few stable, staple items). Let's get into the brands.

Here we have J.Crew & Lilly Pulitzer my fave prep stores; but these prepster utopias are not cheap honey, so I'll teach you the tricks of the trade to get your hands on some classics and some fab replicas!

  1. Go to the  FACTORY store of the brand if you can find one. I know for sure J. Crew has one! This is as cheap as they come if you want the articles of clothing to be authentic.
  2. Look around for some replicas or off- brand look alikes! You can usually find these at T. J Maxx. Your not likely to find these items at ross. Sometimes you can even find the authentic brand in store! I was browsing for some new running shorts and saw the cutest pair of- hold on let me brace myself; AUTHENTIC VINEYARD VINES PEACH CHINOS! Score!
  3. Check out online stores! They always have good sales that are a solid 20% more off than in store. A few good ones are: http://oldnavy.com/ , http://gap.com/ , https://www.ruelala.com/auth/login/ and if your really into dirt cheap monogrammed items check out http://www.marleylilly.com/
That's basically it dolls! Thanks for reading and good luck finding preppy styles!

My Preppy Back to School Essentials!

Hey there! As the school year is approaching, I wanted to put a little back to school series together for you! The first post in my series will be- as you can tell by the title, Preppy Essentials for school!

So, I'll put these in order by favorites to chop this up, as a boat chops waves in the summer time ocean ( I like to expose my inner poet often!)

My Monogrammed Longchamp!
Now, the reason I love my longchamp is because, it hold so, so much! It has a zipper that rarely catches and a nice flap for your monogramming desires. I'll show you a picture (P.S this isn't mine)
 My Camelbak water bottle
I love this staple because, you can... MONOGRAM IT! Camelbaks honestly inspire me to drink water- suprisingly enough I'm not a big fan of water, considering I am a Cross Country runner!
 My Lilly Pulitzer Large Agenda
My Lilly P. agenda keeps me so organized. It consists of fab stickers for different events from exams to holidays' and even birthdays. It has cute sparky quotes at the beginning of each month, and that my friends makes me a very, very happy camper.
My statement necklaces
My, my, my. Oh, how I love my statement necklaces; how they spice up any outfit and add and artistic flair when paired with your faves.
 My Sperry's
My Sperry's are my favorite! They match pretty much anything and make any outfit preppy!
